A total of 84 people, including 10 children, died when a hired lorry, driven by Mohamed Lahouaiej-Bouhlel, mounted the pavement on July 14 and ploughed through a crowd gathered to attend a fireworks display to mark the French national holiday.

The families of some of the dead and injured gathered at the Promenade des Anglais on Monday - alongside French prime minister Manuel Valls, Nice mayor Philippe Pradal and the region's head and former mayor Christian Estrosi to pay their respects.

Among the crowd was Lloris and his wife Marine, who held hands throughout and paid their own respects to those who lost their lives.

Lloris was born in Nice and began his career with the French Riviera club's B team in 2002, before then graduating to the first team.
