Kevin Durant shock fans as he signs 2-year deal with Golden State Warriors

Kevin Durant has shocked the NBA world as he announced that he will not be re-signing with the OKC Thunder and will instead sign for the 2015 champions, Golden State Warriors on a two year deal worth $54.3 million.

He will be joining the ‘Splash Brothers’, Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson in what will undoubtedly make the GSW the most powerful team in the NBA.

This is a very bad news for the Oklahoma City Thunders as not only did they loose Kevin Durant, they are also on the verge of loosing another key player Russell Westbrook, as the point guard hinted at leaving the team.

It's safe to say that Kevin is a big catch for the Golden State Warriors having been named in seven all star teams.

“It really pains me to know that I will disappoint so many people with this choice, but I believe I am doing what I feel is the right thing,” he said.

“The primary mandate I had for myself in making this decision was to have it based on the potential for my growth as a player as that has always steered me in the right direction.

“But I am also at a point in my life where it is of equal importance to find an opportunity that encourages my evolution as a man: moving out of my comfort zone to a new city and community which offers the greatest potential for my contribution and personal growth.

“With this in mind, I have decided that I am going to join the Golden State Warriors” he reported.
