Drake-Meek Mill Feud: French Montana Thinks Meek & Drake Faking Beef is For Music Sales

French Montana thinks that there is no “real problem” between Drake and Meek Mill, and that their ongoing feud is aimed at getting their album sales high. Nicki Minaj’s boyfriend and Drake have been feuding since last year by taking shots at each other with diss tracks.

Montana, who recently appeared for an interview at the “Larry King Now” show, feels that Mill and Drake’s feud is fake. His comments came as TMZ reported that Mill is trying to appeal to a judge to allow him to make music while under house arrest. The Philadelphia rapper was sentenced to house arrest last month after being found guilty of violating his probation, which stemmed from drug and gun charges in a 2008 conviction.
“I feel like with this situation, it's different,” Montana said, in a video from the interview, posted by music news website HipHopDX. “But at the end of the day, I don't feel like they have real problems. I feel like it's just a sport. It's a sport, so it's like competition. Sometimes you spar with somebody. That's what that is, 'cause ain't nobody get hurt. Nothing happened so I feel like it's just part of the game. It brings excitement to the game.”
Mill and Drake have been feuding with each other since July last year. The fight began with Mill slamming Drake for ghostwriters for his songs. As the feud heated up, the two rappers released songs dissing each other.
The ongoing battle between the two rappers seem to be never ending as the two rappers reignited their public spat in January after they released their new tracks taking shots at one another.
Drake released his latest single, “Summer Sixteen,” following which Mill dropped the second installment of his “4/4” mixtape during the stream of OVO Sound Radio.
Fans have also speculated that most of Mill’s cryptic messages on Instagram are aimed at his rival Drake.
Meanwhile, Drake is not the only one Mill is feuding with, the Philadelphia rapper is involved in a social media war with 50 Cent and, most recently, started feuding with DJ Whoo Kid and Waka Flocka Flame.
Amid, Mill’s feud with several rappers and his house arrest sentencing, rumors also surfaced that his relationship with Minaj is in trouble.
According to a TMZ report last month, Mill wanted Minaj to stay with him in Philadelphia during his 90-day house arrest, but the 33-year-old refused to do so. Hollywood Life later reported that the “Anaconda” singer’s latest fight with the “House Party” rapper could turn their relationship into a “trainwreck.”
