Angelina Jolie stuns on the cover of Elle France magazine to promote By The Sea... after film sinks at US box office

            

Angelina Jolie graces the cover of Elle France's December issue - looking absolutely beautiful in the process.

The 40-year-old is promoting her film By The Sea ahead of its release in several European countries later this month.

                 

And Angelina will be hoping that the drama - which she directed and stars in alongside husband Brad Pitt - will have more success overseas than it did in the US.

 

By The Sea had a $10million budget and has so far drawn in $1.5million worldwide at the box office, grossing $488,000 in the US and Canada.

The film currently holds a 29% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, with 4.6/10 being the average review.

On Elle France's cover, Angelina wears an androgynous outfit reminiscent of the trouser suit she sported at the 2014 BAFTA Awards.
