The much-anticipated concert happened on 25th October with a bang, Phyno, Olamide and his boys have established YBNL as the record label to beat when it comes to live performance.
This has indeed been a busy period for the talented Junior Adeosun, the genius behind SMADE Media, but his hard work has certainly pushed him to a new height in the music events sphere. It takes a different level of mastery to organise two concerts back to back, get married in between the chaos, and still pull it all off with finesse and excellence, but the talented promoter managed to do just that when he gave London Davido barely four weeks ago, and now offering the YBNL crew in a gig that few will not forget in a hurry.
Olamide's performance was nothing short of electrifying as he tirelessly gave the crowd hit after hit from his extensive backlog. The London audience could barely contain themselves as they sang every word in time with the Baddosneh leader of the YBNL gang - from Eleda Mi to Story for the Gods, Melo Melo and so many more besides.
The concert was made all the more exciting by appearances from artistes we have grown to know and love. Lil Kesh performed hits including Gbese and Efejoku, sending the crowd into fits of frenzy. Phyno was his usual excellent self as he performed Ladi and Alobam amongst other hits. Adekunle Gold is a first timer in the UK and may have wondered if his hit songs had travelled across the ocean, but he need not have worried.
His beautiful rendition of 'Orente' was one of the highlights of the night as the crowd sang every word along with him. Dotun from Cool FM was on hand to get the crowd hyped and he was marvellous at raising the temperature in that hall. This is without doubt the most fevered, energetic and exciting concert London has witnessed in a while.
YBNL did not disappoint; the capacity crowd could not have been happier; London says thank you!
