We always knew Knicks fans and Lakers fans were different, but now we know how.
StubHub asked all 30 NBA team’s fan bases who their favourite comedian and artist were, and some of the results were . . . interesting.
Kevin Hart was by far the most popular comedian, which isn't surprising because the man is damn funny. He was named most popular by 17 of the 30 fan bases, followed by Dave Chappelle and the musical The Book of Mormon.
As for musical artists, Drake was the most popular among the Toronto Raptors' fan base (of course), and country singers Luke Bryan and Garth Brooks were most popular among the Texas teams’ fan bases. Knicks fans chose New Yorker Billy Joel.
None of this explains why tween queen Taylor Swift was the favorite artist for three very different fan bases, including the nation's second-largest market: The Los Angeles Lakers. Then again, the NBA and ABC both used Swift’s song “Style” throughout the 2015 NBA Finals, so maybe it isn’t that strange.
